Tanzania is a priority country for SDC. Switzerland has been supporting bilateral and regional projects in Tanzania since the early 1960s. Through SDC, Switzerland continues to work with its partners to foster an equal society, support economic growth that is inclusive of all citizens, and reduce poverty in poor regions of Tanzania in areas of health, employment and income, and governance. This year, SDC has allocated USD 22 million to support development projects in Tanzania.
