Together with EHL Campus Singapore and Robert Parker Wine Advocate, the embassy is organising a wine masterclass on Swiss Wine and Women in Wine on 21 April at the EHL Campus. Society often expects men to ‘know about wine’. In many instances, the wine list and the pre-pour is first given to men when couples are dining together in a restaurant. Traditionally a male-dominated domain, the wine industry is slowly but surely changing. In this masterclass, we introduce Swiss wines from the Francophone region, while shedding light on women in the wine world. As part of the event, we are also redirecting 5 swiss francs per bottle used at the event to the organic label Demeter Switzerland, in support of their project on soil fertility and Swiss sustainability in agriculture. Meet the trailblazing wine makers Marie-Thérèse Chappaz, Anne-Claire Schott and Laura Paccot who will be presenting two wines each and broadcasted live from the EHL Campus Lausanne in Switzerland to Singapore.
