In his letter to the President of Tajikistan H.E. Emomali Rahmon, the Swiss President H.E. Ignazio Cassis underlined the continued commitment of Switzerland to cooperate with Tajikistan, as outlined by the new Cooperation Programme 2022-2025. Through the Programme, Switzerland implements its activities on water, infrastructure and climate change issues, as well as governance and sustainable economic development.

He also wrote that he values the longstanding relations between our two countries and wished a safe and prosperous future to the citizens of the Republic of Tajikistan. 

To mark this anniversary the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, organized a series of events throughout the year, and on December 10 and 11, 2022, the Theater of Opera and Ballet in Dushanbe opened its doors to the public for an exhibition on glaciers of Switzerland and Tajikistan.

Switzerland and Tajikistan enjoy their fruitful cooperation since 1992 when both countries established diplomatic relations.
