Federal Councillor Alain Berset to attend Milan Design Week

Federal Councillor Alain Berset will travel to Milan on Monday, 6 June, for the opening of Milan Design Week, where he will meet with various Swiss designers who will be gathering together for the first time under the same roof at the House of Switzerland Milano.

The House of Switzerland Milano, set up by Presence Switzerland of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with Switzerland Global Enterprise, Switzerland Tourism and Pro Helvetia, is a temporary hub for creative and innovative exchanges intended to boost Switzerland’s visibility in Italy. It promotes Switzerland’s innovation, sustainability and originality, while aiming to strengthen relations with Italy and other European partners.

Since opening on 26 April, the House of Switzerland Milano has already offered a varied programme with more than 50 events covering the Arts, technology and social issues. Between 6 and 12 June, it will showcase the diversity of Swiss design to coincide with Milan Design Week 2022.

For the first time, universities, institutions, companies and budding Swiss design studios will come together under one roof to display the vitality of Switzerland’s design scene and its capacity for innovation. Federal Councillor Alain Berset will be present on the first day of this week dedicated to Swiss design. He will meet several players in this creative industry, which is promising and innovative for Switzerland.
