Founded in 2002 as a pure studio project, Eluveitie describe themselves as "the new wave of folk metal". Their style incorporates characteristics of melodic death metal combined with the melodies of traditional Celtic music. The band’s current line-up consists of 9 musicians, including a real string quartet.
Their so far most successful album “Origins” (2014) climbed to the very top of the Swiss album charts. In the same year, Eluveitie won the Swiss Music Awards’ Best Live Act National award. With their new album “Ategnatos”, released in April 2019, the band is now going on a world tour, starting in Asia.
The concert in Taipei is scheduled for May 8, 2019 at Jack Live Studio.
