Consisting of just over 100 musicians from 20 countries, the Tonhalle Orchestra Zurich plays 50 different programmes at more than 100 concerts every season. In the last two decades, the ensemble has performed in more than 70 cities in 14 countries. The 2018/19 season will take the Orchestra on a tour of the musical centres of Asia with its designated Chief Conductor and Music Director Paavo Järvi. During this tour the ensemble will perform at the National Concert Hall in Taipei. The orchestra will play Gustav Mahler’s 5th symphony as well as Sergei Rachmaninow’s 2nd piano concerto. The concert is taking place on the 31st of October at 19:30.
