President Berset to represent Switzerland at the coronation of Charles III

The President of the Confederation, Alain Berset, will attend the coronation celebrations of King Charles III and Queen Camilla in London. He will represent Switzerland at the ceremony, thus underlining the excellent relations with the UK. The reception by the King and Queen and other members of the Royal Family will be held at Buckingham Palace on Friday, prior to the coronation at Westminster Abbey on Saturday, 6 May.

Mr Berset will congratulate King Charles III and Queen Camilla on behalf of the Federal Council and the Swiss people and wish them a long and prosperous reign. The celebrations will also give Mr Berset the opportunity to meet with other heads of state and government. On this occasion, the Federal Council extends its congratulations to the people of the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth Realms, of which Charles III is also head of state. Dozens of other heads of state from all over the world are expected to attend the coronation celebrations.
