In the documentary «Tosca's Kiss» («Il bacio di Tosca») by Daniel Schmid can we meet the inhabitants of the «Casa di Riposo» – also called «Casa Verdi» – a retirement home for musicians and opera singers, founded by Giuseppe Verdi in Milan. Founded for «people who are less fortunate than I». It is about people who never made a big career, and people who have long spent their dream salaries. Today they live, all long forgotten, in a small room with a suitcase full of memories.
The movie night is organised by the Embassy of Switzerland in collaboration with the «Istituto Italiano di Cultura». The film will be screened in Italian with English subtitles.
