Parliament Support Programme (PSP)

Switzerland supports the Assembly of North Macedonia to become an effective, transparent and independent institution by supporting the Parliament’s institutional development, its oversight and legislative capacities and its transparency and accountability towards citizens, including marginalized groups. This includes changes to the regulatory framework, the promotion of a political culture of consensus building, capacity building for MPs, parliament staff and CSOs and improved electronic architecture for effective and transparent communication.


Restoration of the Strumica River Basin

As a continuation of the support to the Macedonian water and nature sector, Switzerland developed a group of projects that will assist the country to have cleaner water and a healthier environment, as well as to move forward in meeting its obligations towards the EU. Through this project, Citizens and farmers in the Strumica river basin will benefit from improved economic wellbeing as a result of a better ecological status of the river basin and reduced flooding hazards.


Global Financial Infrastructure Programme, Phase II

The Global Financial Infrastructure Programme fosters financial inclusion of individuals and responsible access to finance for SMEs through financial infrastructure reforms in SECO and SDC partner countries. It focuses on strengthening credit information systems, secured transaction reforms, as well as insolvency and debt resolution.


Swiss Import Promotion Program (SIPPO) 2021-2025

The Swiss Import Promotion Program SIPPO 2021-2025 supports Business Support Organisations (BSO), such as trade-related ministries and agencies, private trade promotion service providers, consultants, trade promotion organisations, and industry organisations thereby facilitating access for exporting companies to the Swiss and international markets.

Government Debt and Risk Management Program, Phase II

This World Bank Treasury-implemented program aims to increase the capacity of Debt Management Offices in selected partner countries with regard to policy development and implementation of debt management plans, deepening of domestic debt markets, and putting in place sustainable debt management that adequately takes into account cost and risk.


Multi-Country Investment Climate Program

The Multi-Country Investment Climate Program (MCICP) supports investment climate reform advisory in a total of 20 SECO partner countries. It is implemented by the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a globally recognized leader in this field.


Delcevo Water Supply, North Macedonia

31.07.2016 - 31.12.2024

The proposed project aims at 1) building a water treatment plant in the city of Delcevo, 2) connecting two large villages to the main supply system- 3) installing two renewable energy production facilities and 4) providing corporate development support to the Delcevo Public Utility (PU). The Swiss contribution is of 6’050’000 CHF.
