In order to diversify the sources of inspiration for Korean performing artists and to raise their awareness of Swiss performance art and practice, the Embassy and the Swiss Fund Korea have invited Yann Marussich, a leading international figure in performance art, to give an online workshop. Chaemin Jeong, Jihye Chung and Jiin Gook are the three Korean dancers and choreographers selected to participate in this workshop and work on the theme "The stone and the cardboard (Triptych)". Their performances created during the workshop (29 September – 9 October 2021) will be programmed in the SPAF (Seoul Performing Arts Festival) on 15 October (venue to be confirmed).
For the first time in Korea, Yann Marussich will present two solo pieces "Blanc" and "Bain brisé". These performances will confront the audience with his disturbing, provocative art and his relationship to stillness and suffering.
In cooperation with the Seoul Performing Arts Festival (SPAF).
