Dr. Andréa Maechler of the Swiss National Bank’s governing board, visited Tokyo for two days from April 19 to April 20. Dr. Maechler met with counterparts at the Bank of Japan, as well as some prominent private sector economists, to exchange views on the global financial and economic outlook and developments.
Furthermore, on April 20, Dr. Maechler gave a lecture at the luncheon organized by the Swiss Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan. In her presentation titled “Changes today and tomorrow: the digital future”, she carefully examined the purposes and benefits of recent innovations in the financial markets.
