International Rainwater Harvesting Alliance
The overall objective is to promote rain water harvesting in the context of Integrated Water Resources Management and make the IRHA Secretariat a centre of excellence for it. The purpose of the Swiss contribution is to assist IRHA in the consolidation of its Secretariat and in fulfilling its mission to promote rain water harvesting within a context of Integrated Water Resources Management, as a multi-purpose option. The promotion of rain water harvesting within the context of Integrated Water Resources Management IWRM means linking local social and economic development with the protection of vital ecosystems, with a view to provide safe freshwater for sustainable livelihoods and ecosystem conservation in all regions of the world.
