On 21 June 2022, a little piece of France is coming to Dushanbe again on the summer solstice with the Fête de la Musique. The Bactria Cultural Centre is organizing the Electronic music festival on the square of the 800th Anniversary of Moscow in front of the Opera and Ballet Theatre on the occasion of the World Music Day - Fête de la Musique.

The event, which means “celebration of the music” in French, has been taking place in the capital of France-Paris on the summer solstice since 1982 on the initiative of the Minister of Culture, Jack Lang. In its 40-year history, the festival has gone beyond the borders of France and has become a worldwide event in the field of music.  More than 100 countries are celebrating this event annually. In Tajikistan, World Music Day has been held since 2003 with the participation of the Tajik and French artists.

For the 4th year in a row, the World Music Day has been implemented in the format of an Electronic Music Festival, arousing great interest among the youth of Dushanbe. This year the headliner of the festival will be DJ Baccus, from France. Baccus is a frequent participant of international festivals in Europe. Also the best Tajik DJs like Prooftj, RVXIN, Firdavs Isoev, Sha Gen, Dj Jova, Emre Jan, and BadaVia will perform on the stage, and grip the audience with their music energy!  

This year event is conducted with the support of the French Embassy in Tajikistan, the Swiss Cooperation Office in Tajikistan, the German Embassy in Tajikistan, the Bundes Bar, the Gastro Bar "28 Monkeys", and with the information support of Radio Asia Plus.
