Jean-Pierre Vallotton represents Switzerland at the 5th International Literary Festival in Cyprus, 3 - 6 November 2021 organised by Ideogramma!
This year's festival is supported by the Swiss Arts Council, Pro Helvetia and features writers and poets from China, Cyprus, Greece, Ireland, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and the United Arab Emirates.
Jean-Pierre Vallotton, born in Geneva in 1955, completed his studies in literature and theatre. Winner of many awards in Switzerland, Belgium and France, Vallotton is the author of more than 30 books and his works have been published in 14 languages. He has also translated Ion Caraion, Sylvia Plath, Wolfgang Borchert and R.L. Stevenson and has participated in many literary conferences (Rotterdam, Paris, Liège, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Quebec, Mexico, Australia) as well as in over 100 anthologies and magazines across the world. Some of his books have featured his collages. He has also written and hosted radio programmes on French-language stations and was a part-time lecturer at the Université de Lausanne in literature and film.
