ISEA is one of the world’s most prominent international arts and technology events, bringing together scholarly, artistic, and scientific domains in an interdisciplinary discussion and showcase of creative productions applying new technologies in art, interactivity, and electronic and digital media. Sjö, a Swiss-Italian duo, Marcel Zaes and Andrea Manzoni, former a contemporary sound artist and latter, a jazz pianist started a collaborative project, exploring questions such as what it means for a piano to make a sound in the 21st century – in a century over-determined by an electronic environment. They have been invited to perform at ISEA 2016 at City University of Hong Kong.
