SIMPIG

Based in Biel, the birthplace of Hip Hop in Switzerland, the duo of DJ / Producers, Shake it Maschine and Mr. Pigman, have been playing their own mixture of Bass music ranging from Dubstep to Trap, but also including other influences such as UK Funky or House. After witnessing DJ Rashad and DJ Spinn performing in 2011, the two young musicians decided to carry locally the torch of Juke and Footwork spreading from Chicago. By the end of 2012, Shake It Maschine and Mr. Pigman began to attract increasing attention from several independent labels, which led to them gaining recognition amongst their peers on a global level. Back home, they also established "Tomorrow Is Today", a Swiss artist collective dedicated to promoting the future trends of electronic music through various events. They finalized their first album, "Strangers" in 2015 on "Argent Sale" under the moniker SIMPIG, which celebrates the duo's strong musical bond. The nine tracks of the LP work as an initiatory journey taking the listener through different sonic territories drawing soaring melodies on top of intricate rhythm patterns. In order to present it in front of the audiences, the pair put together an energetic live show with keys, drums and pads.
