The festival will be held on 20-28 October in Baku and the band Mats-Up from Switzerland will perform on 26 October. The Swiss quintet will be supported by Pro Helvetia, „Fondation Suisa” and “Fachstelle Kultur des Kantons Zürich”. Mats-Up, led by Matthias Spillmann since 1999, has released five albums until now. It will be the first time the Swiss band performs at Baku Jazz Festival. The band will play its music from the new album „The Nature of The Blues“. It is a kind of mixture of the Swiss traditional and Arabic and North African music.
