Swiss players active in sustainable development from the private sector, NGOs, and the academic community met with SDC and UN representatives in Montreux on the eve of the symposium. Their discussions centered on the following:
- Information about the symposium’s topics and content
- Free discussion on the issues to be discussed at the symposium and formulation of proposals
- Drafting of a key message from Switzerland before the symposium starts
